COHABITATION: CHOICE OR NECESSITY?

The US Catholic Bishops have released a series of
thoughts and teachings about cohabitation amongst
non-married individuals. It is the Church's stance that
living together before one is married is a sin. And it has
long-term consequences, more than the couple actually realizes. Why do they do it then? Is it necessity or security? Do they choose this to make a statement?

What,

What,

What,

What

Kind Of

Church?

.ONE, HOLY, CATHOLIC, APOSTOLIC CHURCH

  • ONE: The Sacred Mystery of the Church's Unity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

  • HOLY: The Holiness of the Trinity. United with Christ, the Church is Sanctified with Him. Charity is the soul of.Holiness to which all are called.

  • CATHOLIC: .Universal. Christ is present in the Church. The Church has been sent out by Christ on a mission for the whole.of the human race.

  • APOSTOLIC: .Church was built and remains on the foundation of the Apostles. With the help of the Holy Spirit, the Church continues and passes on the teachings. The church continues to be taught, sanctified, and guided by the Apostles until Christ's return and through their sucessors in pastoral office (pope, bishops, priests).

NEW PROGRAMS

FAITH IN DALIY LIFE SERIES:
How do we cope with our lives? How does our faith come into play?
This is a new program offered to Parish that focuses on the social and
spiritual needs of our Faith and our lives. From to learning to
understand why we chose to be Catholic to how to plan for retirement,
this monthly series will offer something for someone!!!!

THRESHOLD:
With this program still under construction, we are anticipating
the following: To work with Catholic individuals who are away from
the church. Through prayer, social interactions, and communication,
this group will address the frustration and anger many people have
towards the church. Right now, we are starting to build a team.
We need your support!

FAITH SHARING/BIBLE NIGHT:
This is one of the cornerstones of our ministry.
We meet every other Friday (2 times a month) to discuss
our Catholic Faith and how it applies to our lives.
Each meeting we focus on a topic that is central to living
our faith. A topic that we might have struggled with or still struggle.
A topic that might have helped us through our life. We pray, listen to,
and share personal stories, read Scripture, Catholic Doctrine,
and grow in our understanding of the faith.
